Our Goals

Cameron Park and El Dorado Hills have long been communities within the El Dorado County with a large number of dog owners. EDDOG was formed to champion efforts in advocating for increased access to various parks, open fields, local lakes and rivers to provide ideal places to raise or provide for a happy dog.

  • Our current goal is to work for the establishment of "dog parks"; i.e. open spaces set aside specifically for dogs and their owners to meet and socialize. EDDOG recognizes this need as a very important contributor to the physical and emotional balance of a dog, as well as a valuable educational resource for their owners. See the latest news on our dog-park work.
  • Our never-ending goal is to enhance the quality of life for dogs and their owners in El Dorado County. To do this, EDDOG will continue its work towards increasing membership and support through additional events, fundraising, requests for grants and various other activities.

These goals will help EDDOG to expand its efforts for community outreach, education, and for maintenance and upgrades to the parks, including the installation of official rules signage, participation of special events and dog group meet-ups. EDDOG envisions an ongoing relationship with the El Dorado County Community Services Districts and other common interest groups and to be a valuable resource to its community.
